Abstract

This article is about Oscar-Saia Steinhardt, N. Steinahrdt’s father. He had an interesting story. Oscar was a Jew with ancient roots, who loved Romanian people, fight for them and, pradoxically, he has suffered beacuse of them. He has a strong character, with remarkable features. These qualities identifying with many evanghelical teachings. Oscar passed them on his son, the future monk Nicolae Delarohia, a lot of his character and edification. The purpose of this article is to outline the importance of family in society and the importance of parents in raising their children. Therefore, Oscar-Saia Steinhardt is a personality, a character, a portrait. The legacy he left his son consists of: love for Romanian people, care for the country, wish to prosper, love and care for the others, courtesy, humor, which find their origin in the Christian teachings
