Delimitări terminologice și semantice ale termenului „bucurie” în Sfânta Scriptură

Abstract

In this study our intention is to present how the term „joy” is understood in the Holy Bible. In the first part we showed that this state is present in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. We have presented how „the state of joy” is experienced and who can enjoy it. The second part contains presentation of the most representative Hebrew terms that are used in Old Testament to express „the state of joy” with its meanings. The various words are presented in terms of the meanings and manifestations of joy. The last part of the study contains the most important terms in Greek used to express this state. By presenting these terms in Greek and Hebrew we want to highlight the difference between the term „joy” and the other terms used to express this state and if this state of „true joy” can be destroy by the troubles of life.
